THE WELLS 1-2 BECKENHAM TOWN

The Wells suffered their first league defeat at The Culverden under Richard Styles losing a close fought game 1-2.

Freeman Rogers gave The Wells the lead on 45mins when he headed home Jake Beecroft’s free kick.

Beckenham Town pulled level at the beginning of the second half when Darren Ramsamy headed home.

With all their substitutions made, The Wells were forced to play the final five minutes with ten men when full back Jack Hope hobbled off.

With an extra man advantage Beckenham piled forward looking for a winner and were awarded a last minute penalty after Freeman Rogers fouled in the box which Beckenham substitute Ryan Hall duly converted.

The Wells drop to 7th in the league on 16pts from 9 games.

RICHARD STYLES REACTION - Tough to take today losing the way we did in the final moments. Draw probably a fair result but to lose that way hurts. We lift ourselves and will come back stronger from this, with lots of positives to take from the game and performance levels where I couldn’t ask anymore from the players.

Thanks to all Tun Wells Supporters for coming out today and showing amazing support as always

Next up The Wells are back in FA Vase action on Sunday when they travel to Southall.

Kick Off 3pm.
