The Wells signed off from the 18/19 season with another home defeat.

Conner Coyne gave Deal the lead on 10mins before Sam Wilson doubled for the Hoops 2mins later after farcical defending from The Wells.

The Wells rallied after half time and goals from Josh Biddlecombe 53mins and Jason Thompson 64mins brought the tie level.

Any thoughts of The Wells finishing the season with a win were soon extinguished when Jude Arthurs netted on 75mins.

The final game of the 18/19 season sees The Wells welcome Deal Town to The Culverden.

The Hoops sit 11th with one game to go on 52pts. Their record consists of 14 wins, 10 draws and 13 defeats. 6 of those wins coming on their travels.

Win lose or draw on Saturday The Wells will be unable to improve on their league position and will finish the season in 16th. Their lowest final league position since the 2006/07 season.

The Wells won the reverse fixture back in December 1-3 courtesy of goals from Jason Thompson, Lewis Mingle and Jamie Humphris.

The final away game of the season served up another defeat for The Wells who crashed 4-2 at Erith Town.

The Dockers took the lead through Razzaq Coleman on 25mins. Louis Valencia doubled for the hosts 3mins later.

The Wells rallied and goals from Greg Skinner 35mins and Josh Biddlecombe 43mins sent the teams into half time level.

Erith retook the lead 5mins into the second half thanks to Steadman Callender’s penalty before Luke Coleman added a fourth with a minute remaining.

The clubs annual general meeting will be held on Friday 17th May at 7:30pm at the Culverden Stadium clubhouse. All club members are invited to attend.

The Wells travel to Erith Town on Bank Holiday Monday for their final away game of the season.

The Dockers sit nine places above The Wells in 7th on 56pts. Their playing record consists of 16 wins, 8 draws and 12 defeats. 10 of those wins coming at the Erith Sports Arena.

With relegated Croydon winning at home against Crowborough Athletic and The Wells being defeated by Lordswood on Saturday The Wells now equal the worst home record in the league with just 2 wins and a draw achieved at the Culverden.

The Wells succumbed to their 21st league defeat with a 0-1 loss to Lordswood.

Joe Kane’s 29mins goal was enough to secure the 3pts for the visitors.

Next up The Wells head to Erith Town on Bank Holiday Monday.

The penultimate home game of the season sees The Wells welcome Lordswood to the Culverden.

The Lords sit 6 places above The Wells in 10th on 49pts.
Their playing record consists of 14 wins, 7 draws and 14 defeats. 6 of those wins coming on their travels.

Saturday’s away win at Croydon moved The Wells to 37pts. Only 7 of their 37pts have come at The Culverden. With the exception of relegated Croydon, The Wells continue to have the worst home record in the league with just 2 wins and a draw achieved at the Culverden.

Jason Thompson’s last minute winner secured 3pts for The Wells in a seesaw game at the Croydon Sports Arena.

Jamie Humphris opened the scoring for The Wells from the penalty spot on 28mins.

Croydon equalised through Levi Shango on 60mins and then took the lead when Aydon Richards netted on 73mins.

Perry Spackman looked to have rescued a point for The Wells when he scored an equaliser on 63mins.

Jason Thompson saved The Wells blushes when he scored his first goal for The Wells in thirteen games deep into injury time.
